FORMODAL^®

BIKAR-Metalle now exclusively offers FORMODAL®, an aluminium-cast-alloy created by special thermal homogenization with similar mechanical properties as Aluminium rolled plates.

FORMODAL® is especially stress-relieved, making it excellent for machining. This superior machinability and its low distortion makes it is possible to increase machining speeds and reduce costs.

In addition, the rolling process is omitted during production, resulting in the absence of crystalline structure longitudinal and significant production costs savings. These savings allows BIKAR-Metalle to offer FORMODAL® at a lower price than standard Aluminium-Rolled Plates.

BIKAR-Metalle offers FORMODAL®023 (all sides cut), FORMODAL®030 (surface pre-machined and foiled) and FORMODAL®025X (improved machinability by fine grain size).

Also, newly available FORMODAL®360 7-series cast-alloy offers high-strength with excellent machinability and tensile-strength.

Continuous investment and innovation enables BIKAR-Metalle to offer Aluminium-Cast Plates up to the size of 3200x1650x1000mm and 4000x2200x600mm.
